Richard Doyle, Managing Director of JUWI Renewables South Africa, is a physicist with more than a decade of global leadership, innovation and business development experience in large scale renewable energy and independent power production. Prior to joining JUWI, Richard developed some of the earliest power purchase agreements in South Africa for independent power producers Avelar and Mulilo. He has held numerous executive and non-executive directorships over the years, including with the South African Solar PV Association, Wits Enterprise, UJInVent and the Council of the Tshwane University of Technology. A thought leader in renewable energy, energy storage, hybrid projects and the intersection of commerce and technology, Richard frequently speaks at international conferences and is often quoted in the media. He holds an MSc in Applied Science in Materials Engineering and a PhD in Physics
