Holding a Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical Engineering for UCT, Gerhard has dedicated years of academic and professional pursuit to the areas where electrical engineering and information technology converge. Additionally, he boasts a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in electrical and electronic engineering with endorsement in IT and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technology from the University of Johannesburg.

Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at the City of Cape Town Energy Directorate, Gerhard brings a wealth of expertise to the forefront of technological advancements. With an impressive background and a commitment to excellence, he has become an integral part of the City of Cape Town's Electricity Generation and Distribution team.
