Melissa Hill

Melissa is Senior Project Manager at Voltalia. She is also a board member of SAPVIA, currently in the role of Treasurer. Melissa started her career as a chemical engineering researcher and then worked as a Management Consultant/Business Analyst at a prominent management consulting firm. She then moved into the renewable energy sector. Melissa now has a successful track record in the project management of renewable energy projects in both the government and private sectors. She has worked on and managed projects across the globe. She has worked on several REIPPPP projects, managing bid submissions and proposals from Bid Window 4 onwards. She has extensive experience with REIPPPP from a developer, IPP and EPC perspective. Melissa has primarily focussed on utility scale solar PV projects (more than 3.9 GW). Additionally, she has had exposure to wind project development. She also has experience in the RMIPPPP. In the general Power Sector, Melissa managed the second largest High Voltage electrical project in the history of South Africa (part of the Wingfield Interchange project undertaken by the Western Cape Government). In addition to project management, she has experience in project development and business development and has worked in the role of Senior Business Development Project Manager for a large EPC firm.
