Head of Power and Renewables - Rand Merchant Bank
Daniel is the Head of Power and Renewables in RMB’s Infrastructure Sector Solutions team, having
joined RMB in November 2010. He has acted as Mandated Lead Arranger in respect of senior debt,
mezzanine finance, and preference share funding, at both the project company and shareholder
levels, and as financial advisor to a number of project sponsors.
As a Senior Transactor in the team, he has led and closed transactions with Lesedi, Letsatsi and Jasper
solar PV plants, Kaxu, Xina and Bokpoort CSP trough projects, and the Roggeveld Wind Power project
in South Africa. He has also led the Azura-Edo IPP gas-fired power plant deal in Nigeria and the Amandi
gas-fired plant in Ghana. More recently, he acted as financial advisor to the Sponsors on the Beitbridge
Border Post Modernisation Project in Zimbabwe, which closed in 2020.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Business Science and a Higher Diploma in Taxation Law, and is a Chartered
Financial Analyst.
