Director
Matthew Ash is a senior director of global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright, practicing mainly in the projects space. Matt is the firm’s Head of Energy for Southern Africa, with his practice focussing on energy- and major infrastructure projects, with emphasis on construction, operation, supply, energy trading, energy storage, and development- and management services.
From a storage perspective, recent experience includes representing a major global Battery Energy Storage System supplier on the supply and service contracts for BESS and hybrid power plant control systems in multiple projects in the South African Risk Mitigation IPP Procurement Programme.
Matt also has assisted USAID Power Africa on training and capacity building in various East Africa jurisdictions on renewable energy and storage hybrid power plant procurement and risks.
