Saphira has worked in the development finance, environmental, and evaluation sector for over 16 years and currently Heads the Operations Evaluation Unit and the Environmental and Social Governance Unit at the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA).
Saphira’s areas of expertise include monitoring and evaluation for development impact, impact investment, environmental and social due diligence, climate and green finance, the Just Transition, and sustainable development.
Saphira’s current focus is on using ESG and monitoring and evaluation to facilitate a just transition towards a low carbon economy that is inclusive and sustainable.
