Foreign Service Officer, U.S. Agency for International Development
Loren O. Stoddard has served as a foreign service officer with the U.S. Agency for International Development for the last 18 years, managing large-scale economic growth programs in Latin America and Asia. His primary areas of focus include trade, finance, agribusiness, infrastructure, investment promotion, macroeconomic reform, and public-private partnerships in support of accelerated economic growth and job creation in strategic markets that help achieve overall U.S. foreign policy objectives. Through his USAID development work, Mr. Stoddard has supported several generation, transmission, distribution, and policy-reform programs in the energy sector, including the recent installation of a mobile 40-megawatt gas turbine in Afghanistan. Prior to working with USAID, Mr. Stoddard worked as a broker in the international commodities and retail sectors. Mr. Stoddard has degrees from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona State University, and Brigham Young University. Mr. Stoddard recently joined Power Africa, a U.S. Government-led Partnership, as a Senior Advisor to the Coordinator.
