Managing Director, Reclite SA
Steffen is the Managing Director of Reclite SA with a Background in Mechanical engineering and Material Science. He is from Germany where he worked with the Fraunhofer Institute in Berlin and in a specialised lighting manufacturing facility. He relocated to South Africa in 2009 to join Reclite SA to assist the business to set up it's technical capability. He has since overseen the development of in house technology to treat waste from the renewable energy sector such as Li-Ion batteries, PV-Modules and other related electronic waste.
Steffen is the Vice Chair for the central branch committee of the IWMSA and has been awarded several recognitions for his innovative solutions to treating waste and recovering resources for local reuse and product manufacturing.
