Head of Communications and Publishing at GreenCape, responsible for strategic communication and brand management. Brand portfolio includes GreenCape, the South African Plastics Pact, the Green Outcomes Fund, SA Climate Champs and The Mpumalanga Green Cluster Agency.
My background spans across multiple sectors, having worked as an Account Director in communications agency contexts to develop, implement and oversee integrated communication strategies for various national brands. Managed media relations, consumer campaigns and strategic stakeholder communications for clients in retail, art, lifestyle, tourism, corporate and NPO contexts.
Over a period of five years, while lecturing Marketing and Business Management at Stellenbosch University, I consulted for an international NPO network on the internal and external stakeholder communication and paperless facilitation of global leadership conferences (in Germany, Sweden, Turkey and Panama).
I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from Rhodes University (Reserve Bank scholarship, specialising with a double major in Economic Journalism and Creative Writing), a BComm Hons Communication Management from the University of Pretoria and a MPhil Music Technology (focusing on Music as Business) from Stellenbosch University.
Lectured on various subjects in the fields of Marketing, Branding and Business Management at the University of Pretoria, Vega and Stellenbosch University, and presented various workshops for UCT GBS, the FVSZ Institute and the Sustainable Development Network.
