President Region Africa, Robert Bosch
Since mid-2014, Dr. Thill is responsible for Bosch’s business in Africa, reporting directly to Bosch Group management.
Prior to co-founding Bosch’s global venture arm as managing director in 2007, he worked as vice president of Bosch's global corporate strategy department as well as as senior manager in leading strategy consulting firms around the globe.
Dr. Thill holds university degrees in mathematics and physics, including a doctorate (“summa cum laude”) from Université Sorbonne (Paris, France).
He is fluent in English, German, and French, and has a good working knowledge of several other languages.
Dr. Thill is vice-president of the African Association of Automotive Manufacturers (AAAM), as well as board member of the German-African Business Association, advisory board member of various other institutions and associations involved with promoting economical, business, and skills development in Africa.
