Board Member, Circular Energy
Mpendulo is a sustainability practitioner, a registered professional natural scientist and certified analyst. She is currently serving as a Non-Executive Director at Circular Energy (NPC), and is the President of the Institute of Waste Management Southern Africa (IWMSA); Head: Safety Health Environment and Quality (SHEQ) and Enterprise Risk Management at Mintek;) and Director Xanayo (Pty) Ltd. She chairs the Advisory Board for establishment of the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) Africa Regional Chapter and is involved in circular economy projects. She has 22 years’ work experience spanning from the construction, manufacturing and research, development, and innovation industries. Mpendulo holds an MPhil & BPhil (Sustainable Development Management and Planning) and BSc (Mathematics and Chemistry). Her undergraduate and postgraduate research projects involved investigated the impacts and opportunities in waste management.
