Head of Sustainability/ ESG, ENGIE South Africa
Libby is the Head of ESG at Engie Southern Africa. She is an experienced, solutions-orientated ESG specialist, who thrives on leading as part of a team and in collaboration with multiple stakeholders. In her current capacity, she is responsible for the company’s Sustainability Strategy, Policy and Performance. She has over 20 years of working in multiple country contexts throughout Africa and stakeholders across sectors and the various aspects of ESG. Prior to joining Engie, Libby worked for BTE Renewables in a similar capacity, and prior to that that, with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), conducting ESG due diligences as part of their transactions, as well as ongoing supervision and advisory work with their clients. For the first 12 years of her career, Libby worked at Environmental Resources Management (ERM) specializing in IFC Performance Standards and projects with significant social impacts, working across industries in over 16 countries in South, West, East and Central Africa.
