As the Managing Director of ib vogt South Africa, Mercia draws on her experience honed from being part of the leadership teams at multi-national companies. She is passionate about the energy transition in South Africa and has worked in the renewable energy industry for over a decade.
Mercia is an active participant in the energy landscape of South Africa, having served as a Board member and chairperson of the South African Wind Energy Association and currently serves as a Board Member of GreenCape. Her qualifications include a BCom, Certification in Compliance Management and Values-Based Leadership and most recently, a Certification from Stellenbosch Business School for the completion of their Executive Development Programme.
She was awarded as an Africa Energy Elite for 2022 in the Leadership Category, as well the AEE Energy Professional of the Year for 2022 and AEE Sub-Saharan Energy Engineer of the year 2023 in recognition of her contribution to the energy sector in South Africa.
